Intramuscular Ketamine for Cathexis Psychedelics Clients

  • Welcome! You are likely here because you have been referred by a Cathexis Psychedelics therapist. Your intent is to do intramuscular (IM) ketamine treatment sessions at the WW office, but to work with a Cathexis Psychedelics therapist, either at your WW sessions and/or for integration therapy separately.

    There are two options:

    1. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) appointments last approximately 120 minutes and are held in person at Wily Wellness. These sessions are medically supervised by a Wily Wellness Nurse Practitioner but are led by your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist.

    2. Ketamine Treatment (KT) is a 90-minute medical-only session for individuals who have already completed an induction series of ketamine treatments either at Cathexis Psychedelics and are continuing ketamine therapy to maintain progress. No psychotherapy is provided at these sessions. The intent is that you would be scheduling separate integration therapy sessions with your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist in the days immediately following each KT session.

  • If you previously received ketamine treatments at the Cathexis Psychedelics offices, then you were already medically cleared for ketamine treatment by a Wily Wellness (WW) provider (Dr. Heather Carlisle). Therefore, you do not need to repeat the medical intake process here, unless it has been more than a year since your last medical evaluation at Cathexis Psychedelics. You will, however, need to fill out a Release of Information (ROI) for WW to import your records from Cathexis Psychedelics. You also need to do an abbreviated intake packet with consent forms.

    If you are NEW to both Cathexis and Wily Wellness, then you will need to complete an Initial Care Visit appointment (which includes a medical evaluation) at Wily Wellness prior to scheduling any ketamine treatments.

    Regardless of whether you are an established client or a new client, the easiest way to start this process is to contact your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist. Your therapist will let WW know you are interested in moving forward with services, and WW will email you a link to fill out the necessary forms and gain access to the patient portal for easy appointment scheduling.

  • When you establish care with WW, you will have access to our patient portal with a designated section for Cathexis Psychedelics patients. In the portal, you can schedule/reschedule your ketamine appointments without having to wait for confirmation from WW. If the appointment slot shows in the calendar, you may take it!

    If you intend to have your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist with you at your WW session, you may wish to coordinate with them before scheduling the appointment in our system.

  • The Initial Care Visit (medical evaluation) is $350 (for those who have not yet been medically cleared or whose medical evaluation was > 12 months ago).

    After that, for patients beginning ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP), we follow an evidence-based protocol that recommends six sessions over a 2–6 week period to effectively jump-start the therapeutic process.

    We understand that six sessions represent a meaningful investment of time and financial resources. For this reason, we also offer a three-session induction package to be completed over 1–3 weeks.

    It’s important to start with at least three sessions. Ketamine dosing is as much an art as a science—it often takes several treatments to discover the “sweet spot” that brings you closest to your therapeutic goals. This is not a one-and-done treatment; think of it as opening a door rather than flipping a switch.

    Each induction package includes two separate fees:

    • One paid to Wily Wellness

    • One arranged and paid directly to your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist

    Wily Wellness Fees

    • 6 KAP sessions: $3,120*

    • 3 KAP sessions: $1,560*

    *These fees are discounted $75 per session from our normal rates.

  • Once you've completed your initial induction series, there are two options for continuing treatment:

    Option 1: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). With this option, your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist will meet you at our office for each session. There are two separate fees:

    • $520 per session paid to Wily Wellness*

    • An additional fee paid directly to your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist, arranged with them in advance

    (* This is a $75 discount off our standard KAP rate.)

    Option 2: Ketamine Treatment (KT) – Medicine-Only Sessions. For patients in the maintenance phase who prefer not to have psychotherapy during sessions, we offer 90-minute RN-led ketamine treatment (KT) sessions at a rate of $495 per session. These are designed for experienced ketamine patients who benefit from continued medication support without the presence of a therapist. For best results, you would arrange separate therapy sessions with your Cathexis Psychedelics therapist on a different day, preferably in the days immediately following your KT session.
